Don’t Let Wounds of Neglect Trample Any Possibility of Love
Click image to watch on YouTube.

It’s common in our culture for people to sleep together almost as soon as they meet. A lot of people act like it’s fun and it’s easy and you can do that with no expectations—and only foolish people would expect anything, or be unable to handle it, really.

So, for people who grew up neglected and abused, there’s this contradiction. Their attachment wound is crying out for someone to love them and stay and not leave. But, the culture of casual sex—which kind of has this very immediate offer that somebody will be with you tonight—sets you up to take that need that you have for love and push you to give it up and just accept nothing.

Healing this idea that you have to rush in and that you can’t ask for anything or that you have to suppress that need you have inside that what you really want is to be loved and for someone to know you and to care about you… suppressing that? It’s not good for you!

It can be healed if you can get get real. If you can get real and stop self-sabotaging and make a space in your life where real love can grow.

Acne Products Recalled for Elevated Levels of Benzene Contamination

On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an alert to the public and industry for the results of new agency testing of ninety-five (95) acne products containing benzoyl peroxide for possible benzene contamination. The FDA concluded that a limited number of products should be recalled at the retail level; more than 90% of tested products had undetectable or extremely low levels of benzene.

The companies listed below voluntarily agreed to take action to recall certain products (listed below) due to elevated levels of benzene. Benzene is a chemical formed in nature and from human activities. It is also a natural part of crude oil, gasoline, and cigarette smoke. Exposure to benzene can increase the risk of cancer.

It is important to note that the recalls are being conducted at the retail level, not the consumer level. This instructs retailers to remove products from store shelves and online marketplaces but it does not specifically instruct consumers to take action regarding products currently in their possession.

Even with daily use of these products for decades, the risk of a person developing cancer because of exposure to the benzene found in these products is very low.
